Over the past 15 years we have found this item to be a life saver on pond renovations. We also use them in applications where the existing waterfall of the pond is so improperly built, that an alternative to rebuilding is a must. Size used would be dependent on the method of water returned to the pond - under pressure or gravity fed. Each unit is "handmade" so length and diameters vary. Finished with 4 coats of exterior varathane with space void between O.D. of pipe and I.D. of bamboo filled with black expanding foam. Exit tip of bamboo coated with black silicone for longevity. If you are supplying this water feature with a pipe line smaller than 2", simply attach a reducer bushing to the plumbing. The 2" pipe size is intentional. It provides for aesthetically pleasing flow rates from 200 to 2,000 GPH. For flow rates greater than 2,000 GPH, choose the BBWR-3
