Blower & perforated PVC air blower manifold systems (see S824 below) are typically used under gravel media masses to fluidize media beds This agitation breaks up clogged gravel media. As a result, one never needs to completely break down this heavy media bed to clean. This air blower is NOT intended for use as a constant pond aeration

	Air Blower Manifold: Many configurations are possible, depending on the physical size of your gravel filter bed. The manifold pictured here is for a filter with a surface area of 24" x 32"
1/4" to 5/16" holes are drilled 2" PVC pipe as shown, approximately every 3" to 4", positioned at 4 & 8 o'clock when viewed in cross section. This allows for drainage of water from the manifold while backflushing the filter. Manifold is positioned under the filter's false bottom grate.
