 Using "Super flex pipe" for the Retro-Drain will provide a faster final plumbing install time. It also aids in installing Retro-Drains with partially water filled ponds (with fish present) as gluing and pipe fitting under water can be very challenging.
The 2” diameter by 7’ long "Super flex pipe" can be used in conjunction with 2” (or larger) rigid pipe, (typically ABS). ABS black plastic pipe is available in most western states. We do sell lengths up to 48” for customers not able to purchase in their state.
Additional "Super flex pipe" units can be linked together in 7’ increments for longer flex needs. Using short lengths of PVC or preferably ABS pipe with coupling and glue provided, cut to length
To shorten the "Super flex pipe" the installer simply would need to cut to length and use the ABS coupling and glue provided.
Suitable for both large and small model Retro-Drains, using the 1 1/2” or 2" pipe adapter option provided.
Can be used up to flow rates of 3,000 GPH per drain for the D1410 model and 2,000 GPH for the D514 model. Higher flow rates can be achieved using all rigid pipe in the installation (see instructions with drain).
Comes with three black, large zip tie downs to aid in anchoring the flex pipe to rock, further tips and instructional guidelines, 1/4 pt. IPS Weldon 7773 ABS glue, extra ABS 2" coupling or 1 1/2" depending on Super flex model purchased.
